Duty Manager – self-employed
We are looking for someone to help us deliver outstanding customer service – 20 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Kingsway House has an excellent reputation for customer service. We are looking for someone to join us on a self-employed basis to help deliver our services. Based at the front reception desk, you will be responsible for 3 areas:
Customer Service
Meet and greet customers, show them the common facilities, deal with visitors throughout the day, answer telephone enquiries, assist with any customer needs
Day-to-Day Operations
Manage daily room occupancy, issue invoices, process card payments, ensure common areas are clean and tidy, cycle dishwasher, restock cupboards, maintain coffee machine supplies
Safety & Security
Carry out open up / close up procedures, ensure premises are secure throughout the day, monitor CCTV, manage the car park, sign visitors in and out
Qualities we are looking for
- Exceptional attention to detail (it makes or breaks us)
- Physically fit (able to climb stairs, move chairs around etc)
- Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel, able to write good emails)
- Positive outlook / ‘can do’ mentality (we only do positive!)
- Cooperative team player (to ensure consistent customer service)
Working Hours
10.00am – 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.
In addition you must be available for about 6 weeks a year from 7.30am – 2.00pm (6.5 hour shift) to provide holiday cover. These periods are usually outside school holidays.
Job Status
We are looking for a self-employed person to provide the service. This means you are responsible for paying your own tax and National Insurance, and you do not receive holiday pay or sick pay when you are not working.
Pay
The rate of pay is £17.50 per hour. You will invoice us on a weekly basis according to the actual hours worked each week. Payment is made immediately on receipt of your invoice.
